Ten jobs, one message
Wedding jobs bunch up, because everything has to be ready before the ceremony. When ten reminders would land in the same minute, you get one message carrying all ten.
The day's list
In the group chat, a job that belongs to everyone belongs to no one. So each job goes out to the family and friends who are helping, with one button: I've got this. One tap and it has a name. If nobody taps, your planner hears about it while there's still time to fix it.

Your cousin is standing three feet from the cake table. She read the message. So did fourteen other people, and every one of them figured somebody closer or less busy would handle it. Nobody was being careless; that is just what happens to a message sent to everyone.
Send it again in capitals and people start muting the group, and then you can't reach them at all. The job never needed more readers. It needed a name on it.
One job, followed to the end
Follow one job (cake table set, by half past seven) through the worst kind of night, where every message goes unanswered.
19:10Twenty before
Twenty minutes before the function, you and your planner get one short message: four jobs still have nobody's name, here they are. That's early enough to hand them out on a walk through the hall.
19:15Fifteen to go
One notification, one button: I've got this. First tap wins the job. If your aunt taps half a second late, she's shown who already took it, and can go be useful somewhere else.
19:20Still no name
The reminder repeats only while the job has nobody's name, and stops the moment somebody claims it. On a wedding day people finish a job at 19:20 and open their phone at 19:45; nobody gets chased over work that's already done.
19:25Five to go
Whatever still has no name goes to the person running your day: your planner, or the two of you if you're planning it yourselves. Now it's an assignment instead of a request, and there are still five minutes on the clock.
19:35Past its time
If the job is still undone past its time, it passes to whoever can still save it. The message says the job moved; it never says who dropped it. People stop tapping “I've got this” the day it starts to feel like signing up for blame, so the wording stays kind.
Rationed on purpose
And a silenced phone can't help anyone. So every message is budgeted.

Anything still weeks away comes as one summary at eight in the morning. Your morning, so your brother in London isn't woken at half past three. You can switch it off entirely.
Anyone you've added to the wedding can claim a day-of job and tick it off. They see that job and only that job; the guest list and the budget stay as private as they were.
None of the asking goes to the bride and groom. You see the list, and the twenty-minute warning about unclaimed jobs, but the who's-doing-what traffic goes around you. It only reaches you if there's no planner and nobody stepped up.
Set by the clock
Every job is due at a time (chairs by quarter to four) and takes its date from the function it belongs to. Move the reception and every job moves with it. Nothing gets retyped, and nothing goes off at the old time.
Day-of jobs also stay off your planning list. Twenty-five things due on the wedding afternoon shouldn't bury pay the venue balance in the weeks before, or sit around afterwards looking overdue.
